When life rocks you...
Sometimes life rocks you ... and you just have to rock with it.
And this year that rocking has come from many things. The rhythm of my life has changed since deciding to get married, investing more time into personal projects and personal growth, and now, it is also coming in the form of new environments and a new state.
Y'all, I'm moving to Utah.
It's something I honestly never planned on doing in my life, but also something that feels right and necessary in order for Matt (my now-husband) to continue his education at a cost that will be best for us.
Nothing will change very much as far as my availability with freelancing. I'll still be taking projects (although I will be taking a very limited number in the month of August while we move and also take our main honeymoon in Italy (so excited to share all the inspirational photos I know I'll be taking!)) and can work remotely with Nashville as I have been with Los Angeles.
At first, the reality of moving to Utah was really difficult. Nashville feels like home, and it was my dream for so many years. But as the changes have come with getting married and working out what's best for us versus just me, as I've grown in sharing my life with someone, and as I've placed my faith in God, I have truly been so humbled to see how He has blessed me/us with not just the peace and affirmation I need, but also with a place to look forward to going (we signed a contract for an apartment the day before we got married) and all the means to get there. As it comes closer to this Saturday, our official move out date, I am getting more excited. Which is a sure 180 from just two months ago.
So, although I will truly miss Nashville and all the people I've been able to work with and become such great friends with — but not too much since I do plan to come back as often as possible — I am looking forward to this new adventure, this new chapter in my life, in our life.
Thanks Nashville, for being so kind, welcoming, and everything I dreamed living here would be and more. And for making my life rock in the best way possible.
